August 30, 2007 Blessing to each of you, On May 9 of this year, just a week after we moved into our new home, my son had a near fatal motorcycle accident.   After 14 weeks of hospitals and rehabs he's returned home facing a long road of physical therapy.  It's been a powerful experience for each of us in so many ways and I'm deeply grateful for all of you who have held us through this ordeal - whether it was literally or energetically.  We would have been lost had it not been for the love and support of this powerful community. Now as the dust settles and I begin to step back into my life, I do so with a new sense of priorities and commitments.  The need to reduce my stress and spend much more time with my wonderful family and loved ones is on the top of the list and I look forward to some much needed down time.   With this in mind and through much consideration I have decided that the Dreaming Goddess will not be coordinating and hosting Akasha Con. Akasha Con has become an integral part of our spiritual life.  For many of us it has become a powerful spiritual family gathering.  To use the words that I have used in opening circle - it has been our spiritual migration home year after year. For the past seven years it's been a deep part of my very being and true source of spirit and connection.  I realize that this is going to be a big adjustment for us all.   I feel a deep sense of gratitude for all the teachings and lessons that the Akasha Con weekend has brought to me on so many levels, for all the amazing people that it has brought into my life and for the beautiful community I have watched emerge over the years.  Thank you to all of you who have made this event possible each year. In a desire to continue our spiritual journeys together I look forward to seeing each other at other events, gatherings and workshops.  Most all of the teachers who have presented at Akasha Con in the past have websites detailing their calendar of events, workshops and gatherings. And most of the vendors have their wares for sale online, their websites, along with the presenters, are listed on the Akasha Con pages.  I currently host a Women's Full Moon Circle monthly and I will continue to organize smaller rituals and gatherings.  Keep an eye out for emails regarding our Equinox Celebration with Rick Jarow in September, and our Samhain Ritual in October.  May our paths continue to weave this beautiful tapestry.
