Let’s Talk About Racism
Held the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm on Zoom

Let’s Talk about Racism…..a group for white people to explore issues of implicit bias and systemic racism.
In a supportive environment, we will work to develop knowledge and skills as allies, to support our local BIPOC community and the larger movement for Racial Justice in our country. Led by Janne (Jan) Dooley, LCSW.
I have been advised by my friends of color that a good starting point for white people is to gather to talk out their issues around racism amongst themselves. In doing so we could feel safe in our exploration and understanding of privilege and deep seeded racism as we stumbled and fell over our old ingrained patterns, our lack of education and use of language. We could do this work together without offending and further hurting POC. With Janne Dooley’s rich background in grassroots activism, we are fortunate that she has volunteered to facilitate this monthly happening for us.
