13 represents the annual cycles of the moon 🌕, which holds the maternal feminine energy of Cancer. 13 also represents the average number of cycles a woman has in a given year, also typically ovulating on the 13th day.⁣⁣⁣

Before society became more patriarchal, a woman was considered to embody divine and magical powers when she was on her period; she was considered by others to be able to offer wisdom and intuitive messages. In 1487, Heinrich Kramer and Jacob Sprenger published Malleus Maleficarum which challenged all women who embodied their divine female energy and went forth to burn many healers and powerful female leaders due to the hatred and suppression of free thinking in females.⁣⁣⁣
