Aventurine is a member of the Quartz family, a silicon dioxide mineral. In green aventurine the color comes from microscopic fuchsite particles in the quartz. Its name is derived from the Italian word a ventura, a type of iridescent glass discovered around 1700.

It is a powerful healer working with a soft and gentle vibration.

Aventurine helps in new situations, such as changes in one’s employment, residence, school, relationships, or spiritual focus.  Aventurine can even assist one in embracing challenging issues like aging, illness, and one’s own mortality.  It assists one in dealing with the ups and downs in life.
