Dragon Jade (sometimes written as Dragi Jade) is a recent discovery from Afghanistan. It is a variety of Nephrite Jade, and is believed to carry similar properties. Having just been found in 2019, we are only beginning to understand this magnesium rich species of amphibole. Like other forms of Jade, it lends itself to carving and can be found in a variety of shapes like these palm stones, but also animals, pyramids, towers, etc. The color is most often a light green with streaks and splotches of darker green to almost black.
