Geological Information

Astrophyllite is a rare mineral that is a member of the titanium silicate mineral group.  This stone forms in granite and syenite rocks and can have a dark black or brown base color with radiating blades or needles that are often copper bronze in color. The needle-like crystals in Astrophyllite grow in a radiating pattern, giving it a distinctive starburst appearance.

It’s known for its shimmering, metallic appearance, which can vary in color from golden to green, and can also have a fibrous or granular texture.
