Geological Information

Epidote is an aluminum iron silicate mineral that belongs to the epidote group and is commonly found in metamorphic rocks such as schists and gneiss. It can occur in various shades of green and sometimes yellow, red and brown and is easily recognizable due to its unique crystal formation. The crystal structure of epidote is orthorhombic and displays distinct crystal faces and striations.
