Geological Information

Topaz is an aluminum fluoro hydroxyl silicate and is often found in igneous rocks such as granite and rhyolite, as well as in pegmatites and alluvial deposits. It’s a silicate mineral that is most commonly found in shades of yellow, brown, and blue. Topaz crystals are prismatic in shape, often eight-sided with striations along the length, with a glassy surface.
