Crosses, Butter & Blessings: An Imbolc Gathering
2pm-4pm Workshop with Potluck
Join myself and your Sisters for a sacred Imbolc gathering under the magic of the Full Moon, Sunday, February 1st. We will be entering a time when the light begins its quiet return and the Earth Mother stirs beneath the snow. We will honor the Celtic Goddess Brigid as Guardian of Fire, Inspiration, Healing and Renewal.
This afternoon is a weaving of ritual, creativity and community. We will work with wheat stalks to craft our own Brigid’s crosses, traditional symbols of protection and blessing for the year ahead. As part of our day we’ll make butter together, turning potential into nourishment. Weather providing, we’ll gather around the fire with our offerings.
Each participant is invited to bring one or two lines of poetry that inspires them. These offerings of words will be shared aloud, creating a collective tapestry of intention, beauty, and breath. You will receive a candle lite from Brigid’s sacred flame in Kildare, carrying her fire home with you, along with a white Brigid’s mantle cloth to leave outside overnight for her blessings of healing and protection as she walks the land.
When not in ritual, we will be casual with sharing food, stories, and the warmth of community. This gathering is an invitation to slow down, create with your hands, honor the turning of the wheel, and step gently into the promise of spring.
We are asking that each participant bring a healthy snack or side dish to share for us to enjoy during the afternoon.
All materials provided. No experience necessary. Come as you are. Space is limited for this intimate and meaningful Imbolc celebration so do not delay your registration.
