This Raku Hot Plate with Cats and Moon was created by Jeremy Diller in Tecate, California. Each product is individually made in Jeremy’s studio and infused with love. Each piece is hand formed and fired in an outdoor kiln to over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Molten hot, it is placed in a pit with dried brush and mesquite shavings that burst into flame. The varying conditions of the Raku pottery process assure that each piece is “one of a kind.” Not everyone survives their trial by fire. The ones that do cultivate strength and beauty.
