Originally native to countries neighboring the Mediterranean Sea, Calendula has become common to find growing naturally in most of the world. It is a close cousin to the marigold, and at times referred to as such, however they do have different properties. Calendula earned its name because it is said to bloom on the “calends,” or first days of the month. Because of this it is said to signify the start of a New Moon cycle, Calendula makes for a wonderful herb for manifestation.
