Our Three Kings blend includes the following ingredients:

Frankincense (Boswellia Papyrifera): A resin known as the universal incense from the Bible. It is harvested from a sacred tree, the genius Boswellia. Frankincense has been in active use as a magical incense, religious tool, and for it’s healing properties since at least 1500 BC. It’s been one of the world’s most treasured commodities since the beginning of written history. At its peak, it’s value rivaled that of gold, the rarest silks, and the most precious of gems. It relaxes, slows and deepens the breathing and has been used since ancient times to awaken higher consciousness, and enhance spirituality, meditation and prayer.

Myrrh (Commiphore myrrha): Myrrh is the dried sap of the tree Commiphora myrrha, native to Yemen, Somalia and the eastern parts of Ethiopia. It was used as an embalming ointment and, up until about the 15th century, was used as a penitential incense in funerals and cremations. Hence its association with Hecate and the Underworld.
The last gift brought to The Christ Child, by the Magi, was Myrrh to protect him from demons, recognize Him as healer, and distinguish His manhood and human suffering.

Copal (Shorea Javanica): Copal is North America’s equivalent of Frankincense. It is native to Mexico and Central America, and has been used as incense in religious and magical ceremonies for untold hundreds of years, beginning, perhaps, with the Mayans or even prior to the days of that fabled people.
